
WILDERNESS FIRST AID
Designed for outdoor enthusiasts, fishing/outdoor guides, first responders, USFS, NPS, and DWR. This course expands on foundational first aid skills to include techniques specific to remote and wilderness environments. This course is perfect for organizations that send technicians or surveyors into the field where they may have to provide prolonged field care prior to rescue and extrication by EMS.

Course Description
Our basic wilderness first aid course is a 1-day 8-hour course that delves into the basics of austere medicine. We cover CPR/AED and topics like advanced bleeding control, improvised splinting devices, patient extrication and movement, and environmental emergencies.

Prerequisites
There are no prerequisites for this course. However, a co-requisite is that each student will receive an American Heart Association BLS card on top of their Wilderness First Aid Certification.

Wilderness First Aid with CPR/AED (8 hour): $135

Certificates of Completion
Upon Successful Completion of this course, Students will receive:
- AHA Basic Life Support Provider Card (Good for 2 years)
- HSI Wilderness First Aid Card (Good for 2 years)
